The park area surrounding the WARF, the Warrenton Sports Complex, features seven rectangular playing fields, paved hiking paths, a picnic shelter, volleyball court, an in-line skating rink, a skate park, a fitness pit, and the Claude Moore Fun For All Playground, a certified Boundless Playground. The Complex provides many recreational activities for both children and adults, including serving as a home for several sports leagues.
The Claude Moore Fun For All Playground, located next to the WARF, helps all children with their physical, social, and psychological development in an inclusive environment. This park is a place where children, regardless of their cognitive and physical abilities, can come together and have fun! Playground features include a rubberized surface, accessible parking and sidewalks, barrier-free ramp systems, bright colors, a variety of textures, bells, whistles, quiet nooks, swings, slides, spring toys, monkey bars, and much more!
The Fitness Pit is a recreation area located outside the WARF next to the Fun For All Playground that includes a TRX training suspension system and several outdoor fitness stations including push-up bars, a back extension station, pull-up bars, a pommel horse, sit-up bench, and dual exercise bars. The Fitness Pit is open to the public.
Walking Trails - Trails, designated by markers throughout the Warrenton Sports Complex, provide a variety of workouts, from a short walk on a relatively flat surface to a longer walk incorporating small hills. A trails map is provided by the bridge leading to the fields.
