See Something, Say something

See Something Say Something

The Warrenton Police Department (WPD) encourages residents to only serve as the extra “eyes and ears” and should report their observations of suspicious activities to their local law enforcement.  Trained law enforcement should be the only ones ever to take action; citizens should never try to take action on those observations. Remember, residents are the eyes and ears of our local police department and you can make a difference.  Reporting “suspicious” activity or vehicles is strongly encouraged by the WPD because the officers cannot be everywhere at all times. Extra eyes and ears, is exactly what they need to head off crime. Many times, people notice or hear something suspicious or excessive and disturbing noise but don’t call the Police Department because they assume someone else (their neighbor) has called.  Don’t assume!   Make the call...  DON'T HESITATE..... "Time is of the Essence".  Residents MUST call when issues arise as a delay in doing so may mean the difference between police officers being able to observe the activity and address it or arriving and finding nothing.   Police cannot help unless they are made aware of the issues/problems.   When you call to report suspicious activity, you aid not only the Police Department, but you make your neighborhood a safer and quieter place in which to live and work. The quality of life we all deserve across our community.  Please call....  EMERGENCY 911 or Non-Emergency is (540) 347-1100.  If you "See Something Say Something!"
