STREET CLOSURES FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION

Utility Work - December 13, 2018
The Gas Company will be doing some utility work in the area between 149 Waterloo Street and Warrenton Middle School beginning around 8:30 AM. This work is expected to take most of the day. Flaggers and signs will be used for traffic control. Please use caution if in this area, or avoid, if possible.




STREET CLOSURES FOR UPCOMING SPECIAL EVENTS

New Year's Eve in Old Town December 31, 2018 7:00 pm - 12:15 am
This will be the 1st Annual NYE in Old Town event. This event includes more than 50 musical and theatrical performances at multiple indoor locations in Old Town Warrenton.  It is a family friendly, alcohol free celebration and is expected to attract 1000-2500 participants.

Gum Drop Sqaure   December 7, 14 and 21 6:00 pm -9:00 pm
The Annual Gum Drop Square/Christmas in Old Town events, sponsored by Experience Old Town Warenton, are scheduled for Friday,  December 7, December 14, and December 21, 2018. These events will include food trucks, a beer garden, vendors, Santa's Workshop at the John Barton Payne Building, and entertainment at the post office and the General District Court. Road Closures will be in place by 4:30 pm.

2018 Christmas Parade November 30, 2018 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The Annual 2018 Christmas Parade sponsored by the Town of Warrenton Committee on Health, Parks and Recreation is scheduled for Friday, November 30, 2018.  Pets and farm animals will be part of the parade. Several food trucks will be located on Court Street.  Grandstands will be located at the post office and the General District Court.

Hops and Vines Festival June 8, 2019 - 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
The first annual Hops and Vines Festival event is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This 21 and over event will be a beer and wine festival that includes music and food trucks, involves up to 30 vendors, and is expected to attract up to 1,000 participants. Three food trucks will be parked on Hotel, Court, and Culpeper Streets with breweries and wineries dispersed along those streets and on the Warren Green lawn. Tickets will be sold that allow each participant a finite and specific number of alcohol tastings. Once that number is reached no further alcohol can be consumed. Identification checks will be performed on all participants to make sure they are at least 21 and wrist bands will be issued to ensure compliance.

The Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility (WARF), Warrenton's Premiere Aquatics Facility teaches over 2,000 children to swim a year, offers group and private swim lessons; over 50 group land and water fitness classes a week, specialty fitness classes, personal training and much more!
