Street Closures for Thursday, April 18, 2019:
- The Public Works Street crew will be patching asphalt on S. Chestnut Street from W. Lee Street to Waterloo Street and then moving to the other side going towards the cemetery from Waterloo Street. The work will begin at 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Signage will be in place for traffic control, but access to these streets will be limited. Please use caution if in this area, or avoid, if possible.

- A contractor for the Gas Company will be working on Church Street at the intersection of Broadview Avenue. One side of Church Street will be closed to thru traffic. Signage and flaggers will be in place for traffic control. Please use caution if in this area, or avoid, if possible.

- Superior Paving will be paving on Waterloo Road from Rappahannock Street down to Fauquier High School. Signage and flaggers will be in place for traffic control. Please use caution if in this area, or avoid, if possible.

Street Closures for Monday, April 22, 2019:
- The Town's street crew will be doing some asphalt patching on S. Third Street along the curb/new sidewalk in front of Saint James' Parking Lot. Signage will be in place for traffic control and the roads will be closed to thru traffic. Please use caution if in this area, or avoid, if possible.

- Superior Paving will be milling and paving on the lower end of S.Third Street from Lee Street to Franklin Street and then Franklin Street over to S. 5th Street beginning at 7:00 a.m. Roads will be closed to thru traffic and there will be no street parking. Signage and flaggers will be in place for traffic control. Please use caution if in this area, or avoid, if possible.


Sewer System Rehabilitation - *UPDATE*

Beginning Monday April 22, 2019, a contractor for the Town of Warrenton will begin replacing the sanitary sewer main on North Street from Haiti Street halfway to Alexandria Pike.
Daily work times will be from 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
North Street will be closed between Haiti and Alexandria Pike for approximately one week, depending on the weather.

Beginning Monday March 25th, 2019, The Town of Warrenton will begin replacing the sanitary sewer main on South Second Street from Lee Street to Beckham Street. 
Daily work times will be from 7:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. 
South Second Street will be closed for approximately two weeks, depending on the weather.
Beckham Street will be closed for about two days, perhaps one if construction goes well. 
(A future notice will be delivered as to the exact day Beckham will be closed).
Lee Street traffic will be reduced to single lane for a day on March 25th.

Tri-State Utilities (a contractor for the Town of Warrenton) will be rehabilitating the sanitary sewer system in the “Rady Basin” during the month of January.  The “Rady Basin” includes Fauquier Rd, Foxcroft Rd, Evans Ave, and Solgrove Rd.  Interruption to sewer service will be minimal (perhaps only a few hours).  Advance notices will be hand delivered in areas affected by the contractor.  For questions contact Larry Oliver with the Town of Warrenton at 540-347-1858.

Spring Festival - May 18, 2019 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

The Annual Old Town Warrenton Spring Festival is scheduled for May 18, 2019 from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

First Friday- May through October 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Experience Old Town Warrenton will be hosting the First Friday events in Old Town Warrenton, beginning Friday, May 3, 2019 through Friday, October 4, 2019. The event features live music, arts, crafts, kids activities, food trucks, a beer garden, and more. The location of the beer garden will be on Main Street between Fourth and Fifth Street. The event attracts 1500-1850 attendants per month.

Main Street will be closed to vehicular traffic, but open to pedestrians, at Fifth Street westbound to include Courthouse Square to the intersection of Main Street and Ashby Street (Ashby Street will remain open to traffic). Road closures will be in place at 4:00 p.m. Streets will open to traffic at the discretion of police personnel at the event’s conclusion.

Public works will provide and remove all necessary cones and road closure signs for the event, along with the placement of orange “NO PARKING after 4:00 p.m." signs no later than 9:00 a.m. on the day of the event.      

Public Works will be responsible for placing “NO PARKING after 6:30 a.m. on 03-24-19” signs on Main Street between Alexandria Pike and Third Street, Culpeper Street between Lee Street and Main Street, Hotel Street and Court Street on Friday, March 22, 2019. Public Works will place cones and road closed signs at the designated locations (Phase I Closure). Road closures will be in place by 6:30 a.m. to accommodate setup time for the event.

Summer on the Green Concert Series - First and Third Saturday from June to August
The Summer on the Green concert series begins Saturday, June 1, 2019 and will occur each 1st and 3rd Saturday through August 17, 2019. A “family hour” consisting of family-friendly events and a kids' concert will take place between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 and will be held on Culpeper Street in front of the Fauquier County Circuit Court and Warren Green Building. Spectators will be seated on the lawn next to those buildings. Each main concert will start at 7:00 p.m. and end at approximately 9:00 p.m. and be held directly in front of the Warren Green Building with spectators seated on Hotel and Court Streets. One food truck and one ice cream truck will be utilized per event, as well as a beer garden and concession stands. In the event of inclement weather, the concerts will either be moved to 39 Culpeper Street or rescheduled.

Hops and Vines Festival - June 8, 2019 - 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
The first annual Hops and Vines Festival event is scheduled for Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This 21 and over event will be a beer and wine festival that includes music and food trucks, involves up to 30 vendors, and is expected to attract up to 1,000 participants. Three food trucks will be parked on Hotel, Court, and Culpeper Streets with breweries and wineries dispersed along those streets and on the Warren Green lawn. Tickets will be sold that allow each participant a finite and specific number of alcohol tastings. Once that number is reached no further alcohol can be consumed. Identification checks will be performed on all participants to make sure they are at least 21 and wrist bands will be issued to ensure compliance.

Boys and Girls Club 5k - June 30, 2019 8:00 am - 9:00 am
The 5K will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Main Street near the Fauquier General District Court. The participants will proceed east on Main Street, continue onto Falmouth Street, turn right onto the Warrenton Branch Greenway and then follow a designated course in and around Old Town Warrenton. The race will end at the Boys and Girls Club on Keith Street.

In order to prepare a safe route and to minimize the impact on businesses, the Town will close Main Street in a revised Phase One closure. Road closures will be in place by 7:00 a.m. to accommodate setup time for the event. Main Street will be closed from Ashby Street to Fifth Street as well as Hotel Street, Court Street, and Culpeper Street between Lee Street and Main Street. Roads will be open to pedestrian traffic.

The Public Works Department will be responsible for placing cones and road closed signs at designated locations. "NO PARKING AFTER 6:30 a.m. on 6-30-19" signs will be posted on Main Street between Alexandria Pike and Fifth Street, Culpeper Street between Lee Street and Main Street, and on Hotel Street and Court Street on Friday, June 28, 2019.
